You only need a Working with Children (WWC) Check if you are working with or caring for children and are not exempt. To check if the activity you or your workers are doing is child-related work go to 'Do I need a Check' or 'Do my workers need a Check?'
To apply for a WWC Check you must fill out the application form using a black pen, complete all questions correctly and lodge it at a participating Australia Post outlet. You will need to provide a minimum 100 points of acceptable identification and a photograph of passport size and quality.
Confirm the status of a Working with Children Check card or the progress of an application. A brief message will appear advising of the status of the application or WWC Check card.
It is important that you always keep your details up to date. You must advise the department within 21 days if your employer or the organisation that engages you in child-related work changes.
